Ford Falcon BF (Oct 2005 - Apr 2008)

BF_Falcon

The BF Falcon was the last of the 'B Series' Falcons, before the introduction of the new 'F Series' FG Falcon. The BF Falcon introduced a revised Inline 6 motor with an advanced valve timing system, giving it more power and setting it apart from previous models. Because of the engine modifications, only certain LPG systems can be placed on a BF.

BA and BF Falcons run great on LPG (most taxi's are LPG BA or BF and do close to a million kilometres in their lifetime), which makes moving to LPG on your BA or BF a smart decision.

To spot a BF Falcon:
BA and BF Falcons are very similar cosmetically (most changes between BA and BF were mechanical). BF Falcons have tail lights which are a bit more see-through, and you can see the reflectors, which differ from BA tail lights. BF Mk II's have a Mk II badge on the back of the vehicle (found under the Falcon or Fairmont badges), and they also have blacked-out headlights.

The BF XR models have a few grooves next to the foglights in the front bumper bar (see photo). The best way to tell the difference between the two is to find the build-date of the car, which can be found on your registration sticker, or under the bonnet on the compliance plate. LPG Kits for BF Falcon

IMPCO offers a top-of-the-line BRC Common-Rail Sequential Fuel Injection Kit for all BF Falcons. These kits have been specifically designed for BF Falcons, and ensure that there is no loss of power, or loss of ride comfort whilst driving on LPG.

Tanks are placed in the boot, but options include having the tank behind the seat (traditional set-up) or having the tank in the spare wheel well (leaving you with all of your boot space, and the freedom to fold down your back seats for more room).
